Proteinase K

Description

Proteinase K, originally isolated from the fungus Tritirachium album, is a serine protease with broad substrate specificity and relatively high proteolytic activity. Preferably it cleaves the ester and peptide bonds adjacent to the C-termini of hydrophobic, aliphatic, or aromatic amino acids. CUSABIO’s recombinant proteinase K is highly pure determined by SDS-PAGE and reaches up to 95%. It is characterized by its high purity, sterility, biological load, and without the presence of contaminants DNase, RNase, DNA, and RNA.

Its enzymatic activity was calculated> 30 U / mg using the A275 absorbance as the vertical axis and different concentrations of a tyrosine as the horizontal axis. The working concentration of proteinase K, generally determined by temperature, pH and whether the buffer used contains SDS and urea, is 20 mg/ml. This recombinant proteinase K protein is now available. Proteinase K has a wide range of applications.

Purity: greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Activity: Using the absorbance A275 as the vertical axis and different concentrations of tyrosine as the horizontal axis, a standard curve was drawn and the enzyme activity > 30 U / mg was calculated.

Note: We will preferably ship the format we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirements for the format, please comment on your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare it according to your demand.

Buffer: If the form of administration is liquid, the default storage buffer is a Tris / PBS-based buffer, 5% -50% glycerol.

Note: If you have any special requirements for glycerol content, please comment when ordering. If the form of administration is a lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is a Tris / PBS-based buffer, 6% trehalose, pH 8.0.

Reconstitution: We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged before opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute the protein in sterile deionized water. We recommend adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and an aliquot for long term storage at -20 ° C / -80 ° C. Our default final glycerol concentration is 50%. Clients can use it for reference.

Storage condition: Store at -20 ° C upon receipt, it is necessary to take aliquots for multiple uses. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shelf life: The shelf life of the lyophilized form is 24 months at -20 ° C / -80 ° C, 18 months at 4 ° C and 12 months at room temperature.

Delivery time: Basically, we can ship the products in 3-7 business days after receiving your orders. Delivery time may differ for different forms or locations of purchase, please consult your local dealers for specific delivery times.

Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended.
